ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Cohoes man has been arrested following a hit-and-run, according to police. Marion Lopatniuk, 42, is facing multiple charges. On July 15 at 5:49 p.m., troopers were alerted to be on the lookout for a car involved in a hit-and-run crash in Lenox, Massachusetts. Police located a stopped vehicle on Albany Avenue in Nassau that matched the description of the car. Lopatniuk was identified as the driver, and police located three children within the vehicle who were all under the age of 15 and uninjured. Further investigation led to the discovery of a controlled substance in the car. BALLWIN, Mo. - A teenager is accused of assaulting a Target employee in Ballwin as he tried to steal an Xbox gaming console from the store earlier this month. Prosecutors have charged Jayshawn Flaketurner, 19, with fourth-degree assault, attempted stealing and resisting arrest in the investigation. The incident unfolded on July 12, 2023. Investigators say Flaketurner tried to use an invalid gift card, so the employee canceled the transaction. A driver in a work truck led Los Angeles police officers on a bizarre low-speed chase Wednesday morning in the San Fernando Valley.Authorities eventually called off their ground pursuit.The chase began around 7:20 a.m. with a reported hit-and-run in the area of DeSoto Avenue and Lassen Street, according to Los Angeles Police.
