Now they’re hoping the public can help them identify barns and silos in Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri that the self-proclaimed BTK killer Dennis Rader sketched in never-before-seen detailed drawings.Last month, the Osage County Sheriff’s Office publicly confirmed it was investigating Rader as the “prime suspect” in a 1976 cold case in their jurisdiction and several other unsolved crimes across three states. The investigators believe the killer may have buried 16-year-old Cynthia Dawn Kinney in a barn near the Kansas-Oklahoma border. Kinney was last seen at a laundromat in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, in 1976. Her body has never been found.CNN obtained images of Rader’s drawings, which were first recovered by law enforcement after his arrest in 2005.Rader pleaded guilty to 10 murders that too...

(CNN) — Hundreds of people remain unaccounted for following the deadly fires in Maui, and the state’s governor is urging people to file missing persons reports to aid investigators. So far, authorities are handling 41 active missing persons cases, Gov. Josh Green said Monday on CNN this morning. The broader list of missing people compiled from federal and local authorities and Red Cross records stands at 385, down from a peak of about 1,200.The death toll remains at 115.Green told CNN’s Jake Tapper last week authorities have made a “great deal of progress” locating people, and predicted the number of missing would go down significantly, but it remained mostly unchanged.“I think we’re going to hear a number in the lower double digits tomorrow, hopefully under 50,” Green said. “And it’s not much consolation because our hearts are broken that we lost 115 people for sure, but it is something that we are grateful that it is not 800 or 1,000 like people were projecting earlie...

Mets prized prospect Ronny Mauricio burst onto the scene with five hits in his first three MLB games, but it wasn’t the 22-year-old’s offense that left his manager and double-play partner buzzing.Buck Showalter and shortstop Francisco Lindor separately praised Mauricio for instinctively backing up throws to first base over the weekend despite his limited experience as a second baseman.“The one thing that has impressed me the most is how composed he is,” Lindor said after Sunday’s 6-3 win at home against the Mariners. “There’s a couple plays where no one really is going to talk about. He has backed up first base many times. … These little things like that show me that his IQ and his baseball awareness, it’s at a high level.”The Dominican-born Mauricio is a natural shortstop, but he also spent time at second base, at third base and in left field at Triple-A Syracuse before being called up Friday. Blocked at shortstop by Lindo...
