Capital Region gas prices continue to fall

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Gas prices in the Albany area have fallen 3.5 cents over the past week, according to GasBuddy. The average price of gas in the Capital Region is now $3.30 per gallon. Get the latest news, weather, sports and more delivered right to your inbox! Prices in the Albany area are 20.4 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and 10.5 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. According to GasBuddy, the cheapest station in Albany was priced at $2.95 per gallon while the most expensive was $3.69 per gallon. The lowest price in New York State on Sunday was $2.49 per gallon while the highest was $4.39 per gallon.The national price of gas has fallen 2.9 cents in the past week for an average of $3.07 per gallon. The national average is down 13.8 cents per gallon from a month ago and is 1.8 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. LOUIS - Millions of people are boarding flights and heading home after a big week of holiday travel.Being one of the busiest travel times of the year, travelers heading back into St. Louis are looking forward to a much easier and quicker pass through the airport.Between arrivals and departures, the number of flyers coming through Lambert at the end of last week nearly hit 1,000 on Friday, with flight officials even urging those flying to arrive at the airport hours in advance. WOOD RIVER Ill., - An apparent domestic violence situation ends with two men shot in Wood River, Illinois.Our Nissan Rogue Runner reporter, Nic Lopez, captured footage of the scene. According to the police, after a man assaulted a woman, she went to her parents' house and they called 911. Human remains found in Missouri pond likely belong to man missing since 2013 Before meeting with the police, the woman's dad went looking for the man who allegedly assaulted his daughter. When the police got there, they found both the father and the man shot on North 6th Street between East Acton and Lorena.The severity of the victim's injuries is still unknown.
