The Gloversville Recreation Commission is hosting Bacon and Brew Fest on Saturday, September 16 from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Farmers Market Pavilion in Gloversville. The City of Gloversville says a beer garden with four vendors will sell alcoholic beverages while attendees can enjoy live music. Food vendors will also offer their full menus offering bacon specials that you can eat under the pavilion or in the beer garden. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - The plea hearing for a St. Louis city sheriff's deputy charged with the murder of a suspected carjacker appears to no longer be happening Friday morning as originally scheduled.The hearing for James Buchanan at the St. Louis County Courthouse was scheduled for 9:00 a.m. before Judge Ellen Ribaudo in Division 18. Buchanan is facing charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action. He was set for trial later this month, but a pre-trial hearing that was set for Thursday was canceled.St. Louis County Police said at the time that William Burgess carjacked a 67-year-old man who was with his 10-year-old grandson in a McDonald's parking lot on Bellefontaine Road in the Spanish Lake area of the north county.
